What are the Benefits of
Laser Hair Removal?
-
At $85 dollars for the average Brazilian wax, you will begin to save hundreds within the first year. Since laser hair removal is permanent, the savings increase to thousands in just three years.
-
You'll begin to notice less hair growth even after your first session!
-
You'll never have to experience razor bumps or ingrown hairs again. Did you know that waxing is the leading cause of ingrown hairs? Since the hair is ripped from the follicle the hair tends curve when it regrows causing ingrown hairs.
-
Since Laser Hair Removal directly targets the follicle, you won't experience "shadows".
-
The results are permanent and allow you to live your life without prickly hairs on the treated areas.
-
The treatments at Laser Life are quick, with a Brazilian session lasting about 6-10 minutes, letting you get back to your day without any downtime.
Frequently Asked Questions
What to expect:
Everyone is different and there are a number of factors than can affect the success of a series of hair reduction treatments. On average, it will require 6 to 10 treatments to permanently reduce the number of re-growing hairs. Other factors include hormonal changes that can cause new hair growth and require additional treatments.
Unfortunately, it is still not possible for any laser to effectively treat gray, white, blond, or light red hair.
Do you offer Packages?
Yes! We sell packages of six sessions. Purchasing a package of six sessions is a great way to save versus paying as you go. To make a purchase on our website, head to our shop and select the area you're seeking to purchase and select "package of six sessions" under the sub menu for "Choose Quantity of Sessions". If you need any help placing your order don't hesitate to contact us.
How does it work?
Laser hair removal is a procedure that uses a beam of light to remove unwanted hair. A laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
How do I prepare for Treatment?
The prep for a laser hair removal treatment is straightforward and easy:
-
Shave the treatment area as close to your appointment as possible.
-
Avoid sun exposure for the desired area for 2 full weeks prior to your appointment. We cannot treat an area that has an active tan or sun burnt.
-
On the day of your treatment, do not apply lotion or oils on the desired area prior to your appointment.
-
Do not take any antibiotics/photosensitive/topical medication or exfoliants like retinol a week prior to your appointment (we will let you know if anything you take daily is a photosensitive drug, however most medications are generally fine).
-
Do not wax or tweeze the area for 4 weeks prior to your visit.
Does it hurt?
Our laser has a contact cooling tip. What does that mean? The tip feels icy cold, when we pulse the laser, you feel a mild warm zap. Making it almost painless.
What happens after my Laser Treatment?
Try to avoid anything that brings heat to the treated area, meaning no gym for 24 hours, hot showers, saunas etc. Otherwise, begin to enjoy not needing to shave or wax as often or at all after several treatments.

Although, uncommon, you may notice your skin is pink and the treated area may feel like a slight sunburn, this may last a few minutes to a few hours. Very rarely some patients may experience numerous red, raised sometimes itchy bumps on the treated area. Don't worry, you can take a deep breath and relax—this is totally normal! It is a phenomenon known as “Perifollicular edema” and it’s basically swelling around the treated hair follicle. It may look worrisome, but it’s a histamine response to the laser treatment. This reaction may last anywhere from a few minutes to a few weeks, in this instance, apply aloe or over-the-counter hydrocortisone to help reducing itchiness.
Can I shave in between my Laser Treatments?
YES! You can shave as much or as little as you’d like in between your laser sessions. We kindly ask that you come fully shaved prior to your session
What happens if I get my period before my Treatment?
THIS IS TOTALLY FINE! It doesn’t faze us in the slightest bit (periods are annoying enough without having to worry if it'll interfere with your treatment).
We kindly ask that you wear a tampon and ask that no visible blood be present, otherwise, we go about the session as normal.
If you feel more comfortable rescheduling to another week, please reach out to us.
